I wanted to post some Fuel Trim Data PIDs and Related at Idle and 2,000 RPM and 2,000 RPM (Loaded)
Note: Loaded was in (Drive) and Holding Brake - so no Drive Cycle PIDs
All were taken with engine at operating temp
Fully Stock Engine - No Engine Mods, related to performance
Just to use as a Ref for engine related issues
2 separate scan tools - I may do one with my Snap-On as well, ran out of time for this posting
Autel MS906 Pro TS
Idle:
2,000 RPM - Unloaded
2,000 RPM Loaded
TopDon Phoenix
Idle:
2,000 RPM - Unloaded
2,000 RPM Loaded
Some notes: The Ranger uses a Wide Band (Upstream) O2 Sensor, so it does not switch like the narrow bands do.
I tried to cover anything related to engine drivability issues and give a reference point for what is normal to see although engines will vary slightly
DPFE & MAP - Relation
Note: The MAP Pressure change from 2,000 RPM Unloaded vs 2,000 RPM (Loaded)
This is 1/2 of the DPFE Reading (Pressure Difference) when EGR is flowing MAP Press increases, this is part of the Engine Load Calculation, which ties into Transmission Shift Points.
This is showing how the DPFE can affect the transmission (Highlights It)
The other 1/2 is the exhaust flow on the other side of the sensor
