I would like to replace the drivers side mirror because the one on my truck is scratched up. Looks like the previous owner gauged it with the ice scraper. LOL. I think I know how to pop it off, but I want to make sure. I dont want to crack something I am not supposed to.

Anybody have a DIY on this procedure. No videos on line that I can find for a 2019 Ranger. They were all in Australia with different mirrors.

I can't imagine it's that different from our trucks and I think some aftermarket mirror replacement companies (Like Suma who makes an expensive upgrade replacement) have videos on YouTube.

It involves a nerve-wracking prying of the mirror off the adjustment mounts and pressing in the replacement.

EDIT: Correct photo.
Get a screwdriver in the slot and twist gently as you pull gently. You will hear some snapping noises as the clips pop loose. To reinstall, connect wires and push the new mirror on slowly but firmly. Make sure your replacement has the same options. Power, BLIS, heat etc.

The screwdriver should be at the 5 o'clock position in your picture. Notice the different plastic design for that position.

Yes, you are correct. I got it backwards when I took that picture. I will have to go dig out the old mirror and take a new one. Thank you.

It will be interesting to know the sticker shock for the replacement. It contains some sort of display that shows the blind spot alert.

They're over $100 from Ford. I got mine on eBay for about $50 with BLIS, heat and tilt.

so according to the updated picture, when I am standing on the drivers side, looking straight at the mirror, I have to position the mirror so that the bottom left side is sort of 'sticking out open' and the screw driver goes in at the 7 o'clock position, correct?

Yes. If you shine a light in there you will see where the screwdriver goes. The first time I did it, I was pretty nervous about it too. It is pretty simple after you do it. The mirror is just plastic with a mirror coating and will flex a little. That is why it scratched like mine did. Not the old glass real mirrors we grew up with.
