Agreed. Threads going off-topic is what makes this forum LIVE and builds the community. Also, it makes it easier for us to ask questions that aren't strictly Ranger-related, but we can't find decent answers or advice anywhere else.
This! Most threads would get boring after the initial question was answered/solved. Yes some go WAY off topic.... Err Squirrel.... but it makes for better discussions and some laughter along the way. I always hated forums that were heavily moderated and were closed or edited with the slightest off topic discussion. There's another one I was on and it's so heavily moderated that they hand out infractions for every little thing. I might have got an infraction (or 4) there.
It takes the fun out of it and you feel like you're being watched by a dictator.
