DIY wire mesh “molle style” panels

This is so cool, I want to do the same for my truck. What is the square wire fence(?) called, I've been looking and cant seem to find exactly the right stuff. It looks like its 2" square?

Ok it is 2"X2" X .250" welded steel wire mesh.
