I bought a second lower panel $14 I think, shaved the 12v boss off, used plastic epoxy and some black plastic, smoothed it and painted it black, my big clumsy hands were always flipping up the covers.

And yes.... no heated seats, I would so love those, I don't get why the Tremor is built without them, the seat material must melt easy

Sure they are hard to find. But they aren't often used.

Auto is where it's at. Fine tune according to personal feelings at the time with the windows. Cold morning? Max Defrost. Hot afternoon? Max A/C. Nice evening? Power off and roll down the windows. Time to go back to "standard mode?" Hit the auto button.

I think I've adjusted with the + and - maybe 3 times in over a year of ownership.

Y'all are doing it wrong.

I think you get heated seats in an XLT Tremor for 2022 if you get the 302A package. At least that's a big reason I ordered that over 301A. For some strange reason that wasn't a combination for 2021.

Not exactly braille, but they are textured dots with different patterns. I currently have two of them on my auto and drivers side temp up. Between the dots and muscle memory, I'm starting to get good at adjusting temperature without looking now.

Will you post a picture what these look like on your truck? I was thinking the steering wheel needs them for the center buttons and the dash could use 2 or 3.

Not to start any trouble, but I must be missing something here...when the heck did it become THAT BIG of a chore to take your eyes off the road to adjust your heat/AC/radio/etc. Again, not trying to start anything here, but damn, we still have actual buttons to touch that don't require an in depth scroll through like some vehicles just to get to the proper menu...

Some auto makers found that most people, my self included:handsinair:, gripped how many steps it took to change the temp or just to turn on a radio after they put all the controls into the "ipad" like dashes, that they started bringing actual control knobs and buttons back.

And while most manufacturers implement the use of voice recognition to help ease into the technology and supposedly keep you safer by keeping your eyes on the road.... I have to ask how lazy have we become . In my opinion the "BUTTONS" have become easier to identify and use from say 30-40 years ago when they had several chrome push buttons and sliding buttons to adjust the temp. My opinion.

I mean seriously...I don't know about you, but how many times have you looked down at the steering wheel controls to remember which button is for cruise or the phone? And with that being said...how many times have you accidently hit one of those buttons while driving? Guilty on both counts  Just shows buttons are all over the place and even if its right there in front of you, you still will forget or accidently hit it.

I'm sure the future vehicles will just read your mind at some point and be self driven or flown, but until that happens I like to "manually" control everything about my driving experience. Heck...they even eliminated (mostly all) the manual transmissions which were cheaper to maintain, and gave the driver better control. I guess I just still appreciate the ol ways and glad that i don't have to use my phone, apple, peach, whatever device to do everything i can do just fine.

Ever see the movie WALL-E by disney? This is where our society is headed....

All else fails...use the AUTO button. Set it and forget it! :giggle:

Ok, I'm done with my rant. :lipssealed: .....for now

With me it's my vision and I don't want to wear my glasses when I drive, so I gave myself a reference point on a all black control panel.

I do need to try auto, I haven't used it enough to break my old button pushing habit.

My wife runs cold and I run hot. I have to change my auto target temp every time she gets in the truck.

Edit: Just to add that the buttons are way more noticeable in the picture than in reality. You can definitely see them, but they don't otherwise stand out in any eye offending manner.

Set auto and 67 degrees last may at the dealership. Have touched it since.

You do know it's dual zone right?

You can set your side to 65 and hers to 75. While it will not keep a 10° swing as set, it'll work.

Doesn't everyone have the touch screen controls?
That's what I use as well as auto climate control. That nice big touch screen is easy to see and reach. I can't recall ever using the manual buttons. That said the manual buttons are poorly positioned.
