Good morning tribe, Anyone having problems getting crash bar bolts loose on a 2022 ranger? Tried 4' cheater on breaker bar - no joy.
My truck guy said the nuts may be fastened to the frame and bolts come out from top. Any Help?

I don't recall there being a separate nut...I think it was part of the frame or welded to it...only the bolt came out the top...

Just swapped mine for high clearance ones, nut is welded to the frame and just the bolt comes out. They shouldnt be THAT hard to break free

Yes the nuts on the bottom of the crash bars welded. Just grab a 15mm wrench for the bolt from the top.

Well guess I'm not crazy thinking I needed to turn it into a liquid to remove the bottom bolt ?

???????
This explains why I twisted off a 3/8" to 1/2" drive adapter with my breaker bar and cheater pipe...I was replacing my fog lights with DD S3 Pros , my hands were too big, and every one was saying how much easier it was with the crash bars removed...wish I had known this at the time, would have saved me a bunch of blood and Bandaids......

Hey Whiplash- wish someone would have said this also. I spent three days and bought two mm sockets to try and remove the nuts. Had a 1/2" breaker bar and 4'cheater with no luck. Called my truck guy this AM and he told me he had no advice, except maybe the bolts only came out from the top, like a 150. So that got me thinking, and now here we are finally.
