I am not a fan of the Chrome Packge but I found a really good deal on a fully loaded Lariat that has this package. Trying to visualize what it would look like with wheels ,different grill etc.

Plastidip or Flexidip, lots of it! Black or Graphite will fix most of the chrome. Not sure how well it'd hold up on the door handles but be worth a try!

Take a bit of time but could make a pretty good imitation of the Sport or Black package. Probably a worthwhile effort for a really good deal.

I got the chrome package too. it just happened to be on the truck with the other stuff I wanted. I'm just gonna get chrome running boards an leave the rest. A raptor grill would look bad IMO with the chrome bumpers. I added a light bar in the hole in the bumper, tinted the window an added a tonneau an bug deflector an I'm happy with the exterior. If I ever change wheels it will be limited to either chrome or black center with the chrome lip. I haven't seen many chrome equipped rangers around so it kinda stands out.

I"d like to find one of those grills for sale. In the build/journal page there's a black sport package truck an if I planned on heavy exterior mods I'd look for one of those. I like white an silver vehicles because they don't scream "wash me" as bad as dark colors.

Looking at wheels I'm not even what would go with the chrome/white scheme.

Here's my Shadow Black with Chrome package... I've dipped my toes into blacking out the chrome vents using Black PlastiDip and also the chrome handles using Rust-Oleum Gloss Black Spray Vinyl Wrap. The Vents turned out pretty good, but I screwed up the door handles, so I peeled it back off and will try again later. My goal is to black out all chrome using either Plastidip or Spray Vinyl so I can peel it off later when I turn in the lease.

Another good option is a product called SuperWrap if you want a good gloss black appearance that's removable. PlastiDip is very easy to work with, though.

If I buy I plan to keep it long term so I'd need a more permanent solution.

The badges and mirror caps I could just swap out. The bumpers, grill and wheels would be pricey.

I wasn't a huge fan of chrome when I bought it, but I got a really good deal on it. It has grown on me. Don't think I'll change much now. Only thing I've changed from this picture is weather tech mud flaps.

My Lariat has the chrome package, I like it. After having painted bumpers on other vehicles that get scarred up from bug impacts after just a few thousand miles, chrome is welcome. Polishing the stock chrome wheels is a bit of a job, but the pay-off is worth it. I found that that wiping the chrome with Turtle-Wax ICE ceramic and a microfiber shines it up fast and easy.

I'm a fan of the factory look, so big mods like new wheels and leveling kits aren't for me. I've added tailgate letters, a hitch cover, Ford mudflaps, and tailgate damper so far. Only other plans is to add a tonneau cover and maybe tint the front side windows to match the rears.

Against the blue the chrome pops and looks good!

I always get the mod bug so no way I'll be able to stay stock. If I can pick one up I'll tune it the first week for sure.
