Can you expand a little on the work required to run the FP bumper AND the RCI front skid plate? That’s the combo I was considering. That said, I’m not a welder so I’ll likely have to have my local shop do that work but was trying to get a sense for what I’d be in for.

The truck looks amazing!

It’s just a super simple cut, no need for a fabricator, if you have a grinder and a cut off wheel you’ll be good. I’ll take some pics and post them. Just noticing room in the bumper for the skid mount.

@Lateknightucd just a simple notch to have the skid plate mounts clear. Hard to get a picture with the skids on. I made my notches way oversized to prevent any type of rubbing.

Got the AuxBeam controller I've had sitting around for a few months finally wired up.

Not set 100% on this location. Might move it once or twice more before it finds it's a permanent home.

it’s just one cable coming from the control box in the engine bay. So super easy !

sweet thanks!!! I have a china cheap version in my Edge right now and I wanted to put it in my ranger as soon as it arrives but it'S so cheap that the remote light doesn'T dim... I was looking at the auxbeam and it would be an upgrade!

now, let's try to find one at a decent Canadian price so I can make something interesting with it!

Midland is having their spring sale, $100 off any orders over $500! So decided to finally upgrade from my handheld walkies. I thought about waiting until Overland Expo because I know the deals are way better, but it'll be nice using these over the summer.

Got the radio wired up today!

Lots of holes in the ARB bumper to mount the antenna to, went with the big 6db one to pair well with the 50w radio.

Bad spot for the last bit of snow melt under the truck lol, scared the crap out of me when I walked outside

The wires I ran through the door trim then pops out under the seat via a slit in the carpet where the radio is mounted.

Not sure I love where the mic is mounted, but not sure where else would be better.

Now I just need to hit the trail and try it out!

How do those front amber lights work for you? The giant ones. Put out a good amount of light?

Oh yeah they’re crazy bright, 240w & 24,000 total lumens.

Got my Hot Metal Fab sliders bolted up today. Took about hour and half. Install is straight forward (but a pain in the ass by yourself), there were only 2 holes to drill.

They’re beefy. Way stronger looking than a few of the other brands I’ve got to see. 3 wrap around frame attachment arms!

Customer service was top notch too. I was regularly updated and even sent progress pics! And for the price, whew, can’t beat ‘em!

I sprayed them with Raptor liner, and for the final coat on the “step” part, I added the very gritty non-slip additive. Man I love Raptor liner.

I think that’s gonna do it for mods this year on the truck itself. I may get some UCAs if my buddy trades in his Ranger. And I’ll throw in an ARB air locker around Christmas times once they have their crazy annual sale, or if Overland Expo has a good deal on it. Hopefully next year the only mod I’ll have to do is replace my tires, and go up to a 34 probably.

But other than that we are just waiting for the Lone Peak canopy camper to come in and all the other mods will be based around that subsequent buildout!

Getting excited for camping season! Finally broke 70s here in NoCo. Expect lots of awesome trip reports here this year.

Sweet build! Definitely providing some inspiration for me, I recently picked up a 20' FX4. So far only added a Bestop soft cap and Decked drawers.

I'm curious, do you keep the 12V fridge plugged into that WolfHaus 12V outlet in the bed full time? Or do you have a Jackery (or other similar) as a middle man for when the accessory power times out?

It depends really, usually when we are out camping the fridge will stay plugged into the bed outlet. It's extremely well insulated and stays cold for around 8 hours no issue. We are at a higher elevation and even in the summer, the Rockies don't get that warm. On a warmer day if the truck is going to be off for a good while I may plug it into the Jackery. But I have never really felt it necessary for anything less than a half day.

When the Lone Peak canopy camper comes in we are doing a 200ah LiPo battery and 300w of solar, so it will be plugged into that full-time.

Those sliders look great, very utilitarian but perfect for the truck. Nice build!
