In all seriousness they recommend it at 35 now.... Just found that out.
Totally depends on the person and family history, but cancer.org says...

  • Age 50 for men who are at average risk of prostate cancer and are expected to live at least 10 more years.
  • Age 45 for men at high risk of developing prostate cancer. This includes African Americans and men who have a first-degree relative (father or brother) diagnosed with prostate cancer at an early age (younger than age 65).
  • Age 40 for men at even higher risk (those with more than one first-degree relative who had prostate cancer at an early age).
I'm 45, Kaiser just sent me a "poop in the box" kit. After reading the directions it's more of a fecal science expirement than I want to participate in. I think I'll wait till 50.

I had a colonoscopy once right around 48 because I was having some stomach issues. After that I just do the Cologuard kit now as it's free every so many years (5 I think) and way easier. Unless colon cancer runs high in your family these are the best way to go.

, he'll think he hit the jackpot!
well , I kinda will be ...

Actually your butt check up should follow the same maintenance schedule as your truck , if you use it in "extreme conditions" , more maintenance will be required...

I'm going to follow the random advice from someone on the internet and avoid the blue glove a little bit longer! Thanks. Only 34 here, maybe I was being messed with by the doctor. Either way I can wait longer now.

I mean, I'm basically a Doctor.

There's a reason they call it a medical practice.
