Mounted my cb/ham radio in the tray. Only drilled 1 hole and if I sell it I would only have to replace the tray..maybe. used a no ground plane firestik antenna kit mounted to dyi rack

Nice Setup! Definitely gives me an idea of how I might mount one on the dash.

Only had to drill a small hole in tray for wires and 2 little screws to mount. No damage to dash.

Retired, work is a four letter word.
Only had to drill a small hole in tray for wires and 2 little screws to mount. No damage to dash.
Same here, hole in rear corner of tray to match the opening from behind the glove box. I used a mounting tray, may move it under and use the top for dash cam and phone.

I've been meaning to mount my ham radio in my truck and thought about mounting in the dash like that, but here in Vegas it would last a week before someone steals it. I have a good alternate location for it, now just gotta figure out where I want to mount the antenna. Don't want to drill into the truck this time around. Did it on my Frontier and it was painful to do lol
