Carlinkit 3.0 Apple Carplay Problems

I bought the Carlinkit 3.0 from Amazon to be able to connect to Apple Carplay wirelessly. It seems to work fine, as far as connecting to Apple Carplay. All the apps work, Siri works, etc, but I have one remaining problem: when I make or receive phone calls, everyone tells me that my voice is really quiet on their end. This doesnt' happen when I used Apple Carplay with the USB cable, so I can only conclude that the Carlinkit is not properly using the microphone in my truck.

Has anyone had this problem? Did you find a solution?

I am still in the return window for this product, so if I can't find a solution, I'd be interested in other "dongles" of this type that work better.

My guess is the Bluetooth is using your phones microphone in use during phone calls. Go into Sync settings and turn off Bluetooth and see if that resolves the issue. Should use microphone above your head in drivers seat.

Seems I'm not the only one with this problem. I will try the bluetooth setting you mentioned, and am trying to update my ios version...
