on Monday my truck was in for state inspection & it passed easily. I keep all maintenance records for the truck, so when I put the latest in the file I checked the one from last year to see how much wear on the brakes. well last year the brakes were rated 9 & this time the brakes are rated 10 ! WOW !!! I drive 70% urban & 30% rural and look ahead to coast/brake easy to a stop.
I checked the pads & I say 9. someone isnt reading the gauge correctly but I`m happy about the brakes not wearing badly like some here have experienced.

Not sure what my last measurement was, but I am at 67k on original brakes. I too coast and use hills, curves etc. to help me slow as much as I can.

I'm at 57K for mileage and the pads are still good. I'm always dropping it into Sport mode to downshift when going down hills or coming to a stop at higher speeds. I think I've always been good with brake pads since my driving style is like a momentum machine. Quick braking followed by quick acceleration just eats up pads and gas.
