Here as well. 1 1/2" at the cabin and just over 3/4 here. We're getting some needed rain here up north. More the next couple days, too.

We've had great weather down here all year. A very mild winter with a few good rain storms and so far we've only hit 104 a couple of days and most have been in the high 90's with low 70's at night. We can always use more rain here in AZ but we do get more storms here in down south. This week is just about perfect and I might need my hoodie on Wednesday morning. At the current time we aren't getting any rain here and the temperature range is from 85 to 95 degrees with the heat index being anywhere from 103 to 108 degrees.![]()

You can have that. We were 96 on Thu and today a whopping 66. So much better at 66.We've had great weather down here all year. Haha...I'm in shorts year round and thin long sleeve shirt in the winter.Hoodie at 62 degrees???We're shorts and t-shirts if it hints at 50!
Just bustin' yer chops. It's all perspective.

You still like to ski so it's understandable you like (and can handle) the colder weather. 96 here is just about perfect weather because the humidity levels are only in the mid teens now. If we get a good monsoon season they can go up into the 70's which is gross for me.You can have that. We were 96 on Thu and today a whopping 66. So much better at 66.
It's crazy to think we'll be cooler here in the desert than you in VA.Gonna get toasty here in central Va.

That's one thing I never got use to living back in MA. You walk outside at 6am and you're almost instantly soaked and everything's stuck to you. There were a lot of new houses we did that there was no AC installed yet so I'd spend all day like that.Yeah, and it's a humid heat!
I love it when folks say "it's a dry heat." Well, so is an oven!!That's one thing I never got use to living back in MA. My friends back east still think it's crazy when I say 90's are almost perfect weather here but it's so low humidity (teens) that it is. You're still sweating you just don't feel or see it so you have to be more careful not to get dehydrated. It happens fast.
This is how they'll find me and Annie one day. lolI love it when folks say "it's a dry heat." Well, so is an oven!!I agree on the humidity. It kills me!
True story. We had the same heatwave June 1953. Normal weather cycles in my book.
