There is NOTHING in a modern gracery store that is eldible except on the perimeter where fresh veggies, fruits, and meats are located. And you best read the labels carefully on those items. It is becoming in increasingly difficult to find wholesome healthy foods in grocery stores. Farm raised Salmon? Might as well eat a bag of potato chips!
The best salmon I have ever bought was Faroe Island salmon. It is farmed, but in large containers in the open waters of the Northern Atlantic. They feed and roam naturally. It is not cheap, but it comes out so tender and delicious in the smoker.

Precisely why I quit eating “healthy” oatmeal.
We started rolling our own fresh oats. What a difference. Also grinding our own flours after discovering whats in commercial products. We have an Amish operation that cleans the organic grains for high end bakeries plus sells bulk bags to locals about 60 miles away.

Mine were all in the USN and September this year will mark 50 years since I got out. Those guns would cut the crap out of your shoulders if you moved. We would be lined up on the hangar deck of the USS Iwo Jima LPH2 like lemmings ready to jump with one of those guns on either side of you. And no telling what was in them.

OMG! I can't believe the naiveite of people thinking that ordering a diet soda is a good alternative. My God, just drink water, you fool!
I like beer, and will admit a lot of my hydration comes from the water in beer. It's a crutch. But I will not drink sugary or diet soda. And throughout the day, until it is time to relax with a beer, it's water. Filtered water. Fluoride filtered, county water. Tastes damn good too!
Andf the are tied to Alzheimer's and Parkinsons's disease. Lost a sear friend and sister to diet soda. The both consumed way too much of the stuff, one or two drinks daily. Both otherwise intelligent. My friend was a nuclear sub cammander, sister worked in the execuitve office of Bushhog. Both died miserable deaths.

One good thing we do is to have a hot lemon juice tea each morning. 1 table spoon organic juice with hot water. Calms the stomach.. Heart burn is usually from too little acid. Antacids make it worse.

Dude, I had heartburn it seemed all the time, always quick to grab an antacid. It got to the point where I developed an ulcer in my esophagus. Dr. put me on PPI's (like Prilosec). It was so nice not to have heartburn all day when I was on them. Then I got diagnosed with mild osteopenia, they said the PPI's were blocking calcium intake. When I tried stopping the PPI's, the heartburn came back with a vengeance. Then my Dr. put me on a schedule to slowly wean off PP's. It was so successful that I don't even need antacids anymore. It seems all those years of taking antacids, my body never had a chance to self-regulate the acid.

I remember walking the gauntlet with doctors on each side, both hands had those injection guns. We were told not to flinch. I don't remember how many vaccines they jabbed us with but it was a lot.

That swine flu vaccine nearly killed me. I resisted taking it and was finally ordered to report to the hospital where I was ordered to rll up my sleeve which I did, then ordered to allow them to administer the shot which I refused. Was threatened with the brig, relented. This was a friday, by Monday I had a fever of 104F and was back at the hospital. The same Dr who administered the shot looked me over and said "Damn! One day too late. IF you had just come in earlier you wouldn't be in this shape." I just simply glared at him.

I have never taken another vaccine.

I was never a coffee drinker (which is another bad habit) and I drink tea every morning, usually green tea with cinnamon which is good for your stomach. I also buy ground & fresh ginger and add that to my water and tea. Ginger has great benefits which helps in digestion, immune support and inflammation along with many others.

Antacids are the worst. They're made up of calcium carbonate which is basically ground up rocks! I use to drink almond milk thinking it was better for you because it had higher calcium until I found out how they got that higher amount. It was from the calcium carbonate which they found can lead to artery blockage. So basically many things that are "supposed" to be healthy are not and you're better off going back to basics like milk, eggs, butter and meat.

And leaving a hole in the side of the berm that catches the nose of the sled of the next person while they fly down skeleton-style, stopping the sled dead, while they slide right off the front and continue along the track on their belly, like a penguin.

Ask me how I know. :D

Umm, isn't that from the starting point of the kiddie/junior run? That's definitely not the angle from where my teenager broke a hole through the berm! It's completely the other side of your house! Admit it, the kiddie run was a bit more than you could handle!
