For those holding out for a model with more height (i.e. ARE MX or Leer 180) ARE says no specific eta but a rough guess of late August/early September and Leer "into fall". :crying:

Got my Leer cap installed today. Fit and finish is really nice, and had a lot of standard features that were optional extras on the ARE. Was just over three weeks of wait for it to show up.

Hi All, I’m new to the forum, and a new Ranger owner. I had the dealer install the Ford rebranded version of the RetraxPro retractable tonneau cover, but I’ve found it leaks horribly. Just standing in my drive way during 30 min or more of rain, ill get big puddles in the bed, soaking anything thats inside.
The dealership tried but wasnt able to stop the leaks. That’s going to be a battle for a refund, but in the mean time I'm considering a cap instead.
Can anyone speak to how water tight these new caps are and are some of them better than others?

hey everyone, i'm probably pulling the trigger on an ARE cap (lightening blue)with slider side windows, lined ceiling and LED lighting.
My truck is a 3 year lease (picked it up in April) but having it for 3 years, i need the cap to keep my bikes and gear safe and dry.
so... i will be selling it at end of my lease, just a little FYI in case anyone might be interested in a great deal. :)

Retired for now!
Well, I guess I am joining the "Bed Cap" crowd here sometime soon, or at least by the middle of next month hopefully. I ordered an ARE V Series cap today, so I don't have to crawl my old fanny under the tri-fold soft bed cover every time I want to get something out of my big toolbox, that is in the front of the truck bed. The ARE looks like a good cap for the money. About $1,980.00 installed (before tax) with a sliding window that fits up against the sliding rear window of the back of the truck. Plus, a bit more security for the stuff in the bed and a place for Sasha & Socks (my dogs) to ride safely in. Anyone else have an ARE V series bed cap on your Ranger and if so, how do you like it?
Thanks!
