For what purpose? Bcm reset is a little vague. What are you trying to accomplish?

Flash high beam 5 times, step on the brake 5 times, wait for the battery icon to flash. I can confirm this works, I had to reset the BCM after I had only one headlight working for some reason.

You are confusing the BMS reset with the BCM, completely different.

That is the Procedure for resetting the BMS (battery monitoring System) not the BCM (Body Control Module). Two co.pletely different things. Which is the OP trying to do? Clearing codes after fixing wire should be all that is needed.

After a little more research apparently it will have to go to a dealer for their "proprietary software " to reset.

I've not done it, but other Ford forums recommend disconnecting both battery terminals and tapping them together to quickly bleed-off residual capacitance. That's supposed to reset the BCM and erase "trash" memory. Try AYOR

This one is getting some misinformation.

1. Use a Scanner or Forscan and clear the Code

2. To ensure that you have a valid confirmed splice fix and to confirm that the BCM was not fried and or the FET (Self Protection) of the BCM is not still enabled and disabling power output.
Perform a BCM (Self Test) via Scanner or Forscan
If the BCM self test faults that specific circuit again then check your repair but see below

The code reset would normally be all that is needed, but this has been this way for an extended period of time, and after enough events (fault counter) the system can permanently shut off power output on the specific circuit. (This requires a BCM Replacement) IF this has occured.
