Is there any tricks / tips on removing the “trim” (or surround) from the front grill? I see some clips and screws on the back… does it just come apart fairly straight forward?
Everyone here who's done this are over 60...remembering what we ate for breakfast is a challenge...I think there's Youtubers who recorded how to on this...
I just replaced my grill but kept the chrome trip. Yes it comes off. You have to remove all of the outer torx head screws then unclip the clips while carefully pulling the trim away. Not hard just takes a little patience.
If you're trying to put the original trim on the performance grill it will require some modifications.
