So I've ran into some problems upgrading my b&o system. First I replaced the front and rear speakers. They are Hertz CK165 separates for the front and CX165 coax for the rear and added RoadKill Fast Rings model RKFR6 . This is where my problem started although they sound a little better than the b&o's did, I wasn't quite satisfied so I looked into it a little bit further and found some people with F-150s with the b&o and the Raptor use a piece made by Nav-TV model Zen-a2b. I decided to go with an Audison AP8.9 bit 8-channel amplifier and a small kicker truck box model TCWRT672 to replace the factory sub. I should have done a little more research, there is a problem with that combination. The Zen-a2b does not amplify the volt output at best the b&o puts out 1.25 volt but on average it is more like .55 volts. The AP8.9 bit will not work properly; it needs at least 1 volt. The Audison was scrapped. I reluctantly decided to use the JL Audio VX800/8i, I say reluctantly just because of the cost almost double the price. The install has not gone well. I used the Metra 82-5604 speaker adapters for the front and rear and the Metra 72-5602 so I would have to cut the factory harness. For the tweeters I used a set of ford tweeters 6m2t-18932-ec 35b8 I found on eBay so I could cannibalize them again so I wouldn't have to cut the factory harness. The PAC aph-fd02 is a t-harness so you won't have to tap into the harness to amplify your speakers. side note after that work trying to find that plug for the tweeters and installing them now you will have to run a new pair of wires to them because they're not in the harness, they are ran and crossed over at the radio. I should have just ran passive but I'd not run active in a long while and wanted more control of my front stage. That went well. Fords do not like aftermarket systems, and had to run the Zen and the Vx800 to the battery not only power but ground as well. Plan to add the JL DRC-205 at a later date. I’ll upload more pictures as soon as it is completed.

I was thinking about using the ZEN module with some rockford roseate amps I already own. Good info that the zen doesn't put out much signal to the amp inputs. I thought with the B&O the tweeter pillar wiring was already in the harness coming out of the B&O amp in the back.

Thanks for the heads up regarding the output voltage of the Zen. I was considering picking up a used JBL MS8 (running one in my F150) but that may have the same issues as the Audison. I never would have guessed that they would wire the front tweeters like that.

I agree, Ford does not play well with aftermarket audio gear.

Thanks for the info and part numbers. I will be sharing what I learn in the next week or so working on my b&o.
