has anyone had the opportunity to install the hidden winch mount from Mongrel Off-road? I guess they have a vendor called Round The Fire that sells the mount and it looks great compared to the one sold here in the states. The cradle is lower in the bumper bash plate and doesn't block the air flow to the intercooler. The front of the cradle supports the plastic bash plate better and the beauty plate of the winch mounts on the surface of the bash plate so the cable runs through an opening you have to create, but looks better then just sitting through the bumper airflow opening

never tried one. it looks nice. may be tough to reach the winch controls. i dont remember who but one of the r5g folks was custom making hidden winch mounts that were pretty slick. They had a couple left not too long ago.

Any chance you remember who? Been toying with the idea of designing a winch plate and a bull bar similar to the shrockworks one not that they're out of business.

Did a search and came up empty too. Looking for a hidden mount to get out there and install. There's the frontrunner t6 but according to 12degrees it's something about how the bumper for US spec doesn't match the bolt points on the world t6 design. Check the notes on the right hand side of this link.

Everywhere I can find are on backorder at the moment.
I ordered mine factory direct…But ya, it took a couple months to receive it. I think it’s worth the wait. 589 was super easy to work with and had really good communication.

589 Fabrication. I’m installing mine this week. There are a few other links about it on this forum. I’ll post a link when I find one.

https://589fab.com/products/hidden-winch-mount

i really dont like that they put the winch so dang high and the rope comes out of the space in the bumper instead of sitting lower so that you can reach the controls through the opening... make a template that you cut the window out of the plastic chin part and be able to run the cable through that like they do in australia so that you dont risk the cable having an angle that results in the cable rubbing oll over the rest of the bumper components...
