ARB Compressor Question

For those that did install the ARB Twin Compressor with 1 gallon tank, how has it been with certain air tools? I understand most did it for the Air impact for tire changing(and i don't blame you). I'm sure it would have some other use but not too much.

Regardless I'm curious how well it worked out in the end. I ask because ARB will be releasing the Brushless series soon and it will be able to put out about 50% more compared to the original twin.

No experience with the ARB but my much bigger compressor in my garage barely handles a 1/4 drive air ratchet. It is 1 1/2 HP at 2.6 CFM. I have a Milwaukee 1/2 drive I toss in the tool box when off road or long trips. It has enough power to snap lug studs and barely affects the charge when I rotate my tires. FWIW, I use this to fill my tires. I have had this for 2 or 3 years and it is fast. Yes I also have a 20volt 1/2 drive electric impact wrench I pack. It easily gets off nuts my 1/2 allegedly 250lb/feet air impact won't shift.

In the day and age of powerful, small, light electric tools I'd be surprised to see someone install onboard air exclusively for air tools.

These days onboard air is almost exclusively for actuating air lockers, and airing up/down beadlock tires at the trail.

Okay I don't care about the electric tools at this time. I know how nice the electric tools are. I'm still asking about the experience of those who actually are using the air between with an air tank and air tools.

Well I guess the issue is rattle guns use a fair bit of air say about 5cf per minute for a good 1/2 inch one, and the ARB tank is not that big.

Trust me I'm well aware. I've still seen some individuals doing install of that 1 gallon tank with twin compressor. I'd love to know their experience to see if it was actually worth it or not.

It has a 3 gallon tank and runs on house current and struggles after 8 small screws.. Hard to believe a much smaller one on 12v with a 1 gallon tank is going to meet your needs.

I still have absolutely NO idea what you want. You asked some nebulous question about a compressor and tools but you don't like the "tools" answers and you don't like the "compressor" answers. You did not point out anything but your ability to be rude to people trying to be helpful.

I asked about a specific compressor combination. Not just any compressor. If you can't contribute to what is being asked(which you've already admitted that you can't), then there is no need to respond

Yes I had a similar problem with my small reciprocating compressor, then I picked up one of these when my dad closed down his workshop. Problem solved, they're much quieter too.
