Was researching rear light options. Was initially thinking of possibly doing a couple flush mounts in the rear bumper, but I'm not sure how I feel drilling holes. Then I thought of a hitch light and found this. Pretty cool and cheap (and I'm sure for the price, the lights are just that...CHEAP lol) I'd probably opt for better lights though.

@TDF017 and @PltFX4 how's the quality of the brackets?
The bracket itself is fine, replace the bolts with SS editions to minimize rust nut/bolt look. Or which I was planning to do bit never have, is black plastic "nipple" over nut filled with plumbers putty... got keep the water out...

I'm pleased with it. It's powdercoated so, no rusting. It came with cheap hardware. I replaced that with SS right away. I made my own bracket extensions so I could get the exact look I was going for. Then I went off roading with it. I haven't had any issues with it. I went with the Nilight Bracket on Amazon. It had fewer complaints than the other versions of the same thing. I still have the Nilight 60w LEDs laying around somewhere. I might put them on my lawn mower. I found cheap lights on Amazon that had the look I wanted. I tried to do this as cheaply as possible so it wouldn't hurt too bad if the whole setup sucked. Surprisingly, it doesn't suck. Everything cost less than $50 (lights & bracket).

I like that. Not only does it spread the lights further apart, but you were able to use slimmer lights as well. :like:

Is your truck a hybrid? Its plugged in!!
LOL... no... have a 2 amp battery tender installed
, mostly for winter, as the Ranger sits a fair amount. Had the plug installed there as I back in toward the garage. Tender is up by the battery.

hmm, this is nice. I could use a little bit more light for reverse. Thanks for sharing this. I have started to think about something for this.

I needed a longer bolt attaching the light to the bracket plus a bunch of stainless washers to get it to sit at the right height. And, the longer light pods hit the main bracket so spacers were needed. I was tempted to cut 1/2" off the long ends of the main bracket because it was hitting the back of the pod. I also mounted the main bracket upside down so it was less "noticeable". That forced me to buy thread covers at HomeDepot.
