I would prefer to order a Ranger XL 101A with the STX package or an XLT 301A. I don't really want to jump up to the 302A or a Lariat just to get heated seats; I can live with out all the tech. I've seen under-fabric heater kits on Amazon, and I have some plug-in heated seat cushions in my Mariner which work ok.
But I've read that in some vehicles, installing aftermarket seat heaters can affect or damage the seat load sensors for deploying the airbags. I don't know if this applies to Rangers.
The other thing I really want is a power sunroof, either a slide-in or a slide-over the roof. I've never seen one on a Ranger, and I'm not about to get a Ridgeline!

Thanx for the linkI
I am familiar with Webasto and Automotive Concepts in Minneapolis, MN (local installer) going back to my selling days. We'd send vehicles over there for window tint, sunroofs and am/fm/casette players- been awhile! I will reach out to them when I order, but I was wondering if anyone has done these things and run into any problems. We had installed pop-outs on 2G & 3G Rangers but I don't recall seeing any power SR's. I don't know if it was too costly or structurally impossible. ACI MPLS also does seat heaters/coolers etc, but again I was looking to see if anyone has seat-of-the-pants (sorry) experience with them.

i have oem heated seats however it isn't my arse that needs the heat, its my mid back. I was wondering if the ford wiring would stand up to adding a mid back heat pad and taping into the existing wiring or would i need to wire them separate?
