I find myself putting things in the back seat / on the floor a lot and have started to notice the seats are showing a little dirt etc - vacuums off for now but I want to avoid problems later on, I tried folding the seat back down and putting things one there but found that does not work well and the manual specifically says not to fold down the setback and put stuff on it...

has anyone found a good seat cover for the backseat (dark interior) or a way to protect the seat back if folded down to allow carrying things back there? I just want to protect the seat without spending a lot of money anyone found anything that doest look stupid and protects it?? I rarely have anyone sitting back there so more of a cargo space for me. thanks!

I like my CoverKing seat covers, other members like Wet Okole. Both seem to fit great and hold up well in addition to some added comfort. Neither are what I would consider cheap $130-250+ but definitely worth it to protect your investment and not look goofy

I think I may have answered my own question -- came across another thread on pet protectors and someone had posted this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DCT6SP...&pd_rd_r=94db0285-3092-11e9-aa46-c39cdcdc9328.

it looks like it will do the job for less than $40 and looks a lot less crappy than a blanket on the seat. ill update when it gets here---- who knows when (covid shipping time is longer than normal because amazon is understandably prioritizing things that matter a lot more than this- stay safe everyone....... ) its black and looks as if it covers the seat pretty well and as a plus, I have 2 dogs that really like the car so this might be a win win...

I have gone with the <<VIEWPETS bench car seat cover protector>> which another forum guy had suggested in another post. It is waterproof and fits the seat nicely. For $40 it has been a nice solution. it comes in several colors. I selected gray which matches my xlt’s interior. It is easy to install and it stays in place tight against the seats.

The only drawback is the middle shoulder and hip seat belt is not usable. The two seat belts next to each door pull out and buckling in is easy.

With this seat cover and rear seat husky floor liners, I am more than comfortable putting my dogs back there. Wet and all from some of our walks.

I was tempted to get that! I need to save up and I will pick up a full set of those Cover Kraft seat covers. For now I had other priorities and had to make due.

I got a hammock style and love it. Only problem, when the truck was just over a month old we were in the mountains hunting grouse after a some rain the night before. I load him into the rear and he decides to shake. Has mud splattered throughout the truck. Everything had mud spots except the rear seats. Guess it did its job.

I finally got the one from amazon yesterday and it works great --- its a thick hammock style one but I just use it to covers the seat. The flaps that are meant to form the sling hang down so It covers the seat on sides and down the front as well. My concern is since back seat area isn't flat, I wind up putting groceries on the back seat and it was starting to show some marks so I want to keep it clean and new looking. This thing works great for less than $35 and instals easily and I can take it out if I need to use the seat for people.
Thanks for anyone who had suggestions - this was a lot cheaper than seat covers - I just wanted to protect the seat from wet groceries and other stuff.

this is the one I got: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DCT6SP...&pd_rd_r=94db0285-3092-11e9-aa46-c39cdcdc9328 -- this one fits the ranger back seat pretty well, not custom but pretty close.
I found it on another post and someone else posted something similar above that looks like it would work great as well -- both of them are just a bench seat pet seat cover, great way to keep it nice for not a lot of money and that was all I needed
