I totally agree with this but it is a sensitive subject indeed. What you'll hear is that there are numerous folks running spacers without issue. But, the risk of issues is indeed much higher with a spacer and if you're wanting to lift it to do any proper offroading, then you should reconsider. Lifting it for purely on-road aesthetics - the spacer will be fine, albeit with a possible reduction in ride quality. If there is anything I will say it is if you want to put a.lift on your truck do not go cheap and but a spacer kit like that..........
I have the Old Man EMU lift by ARB. It lifts the front by 2.4 inches and the rear by 1.6 inches. The alignment is in spec with no problems. The on road characteristics have been cleaned up and the off road performance is awesome. You get all shocks including front coils and rear leafs. The install can be done in 1 day. Overall cost for what you get is well within reason. Unlike some other kits you dont NEED upper control arms replaced. Do yourself a favor and get a quality kit like the Old Man EMU or perhaps the Fox leveling kit. Dont go with cheap junk!!!!
