Anybody recognize this sound??

Posting for a friend with a 2019 with 65k on it.

Got an intermittent 'whirring' noise between 2,000-3,000 rpm when driving. Almost sounds like an electronic motor or something similar to a hydraulic power steering pump sound. (Just being descriptive, I know these trucks have electric power steering ) But it does not always occur when turning the steering wheel.

No codes being thrown.

Anybody recognize this sound?? See video below. Volume up.

Hmm - is it possibly Upshift / Downshift- a specific gear - related or wastegate actuator cycling.
Nothing else comes to mind at the moment

We believe it's due to the wastegate actuator cycling. Seems to happen within different gears. No specific gear upshift or downshifts.

What kind of live data should I look for to check the turbo parameters and/or wastegate actuator?

Try lubricating the linkage ends.

Does it sound similar - when opening the drivers door? - Wastegate Actuator Cycle

Plus: KOEO - Key On Engine Off
Press accelerator pedal to the floor and hold for 3 seconds and release - this should trigger the wastegate to cycle.

As far as - Turbo (Boost Pressure) related
Ensure all ducting is secure - sound may be pressure leak
Inspect all ducting for security (clamps) and for any hairline cracks

PIDs - for monitoring (Timing of sound) When driving

Turbocharger By-Pass Valve (%) - this will be the opening of the by-pass valve and the sound may be the By-Pass valve shuddering as the pressure changes.
Wastegate A Position (%) or Turbocharger Wastegate Position (%)
The PIDs display (name) depends on the scan tool

These may help isolate if (Turbo Related)
My hunch its - boost pressure leak
So one other PID - pull up Boost Pressure - see if the sound matches (pressure build)
