Is there a way to permanently disable the HORN beeping when you walk away from your vehicle with the keyfab in your pocket and the engine running? Does ford think all people are idiots? All these beeps/buzzers/warnings are killing me. I bought this vehicle for Hunting
Forescan is the way to do it. I know it's already been said but that is how is should be done. I can walk away from mine while it's running, lock the door with the FOB in my pocket and it doesn't honk. I love it.

No but the majority of people prove they are idiots and Ford like any other manufacturer has to protect themselves from idiots.
That kind of sozialism. Isn‘t it? I mean. Everyone has the right to say what they think and be the idiot they want to be. Including the right to kill themselves and others for lack of information. Why Ford thinks it's a good idea to piss off the majority for this.... Socialism? No more right of the strongest? Well yeah, that's why we have to use Russian software to fix it. A staircase joke this 21st century... oh well. Only Nixon could go to china, or something like that.... ????

This seems to be an issue us common folk with non-lariat trims don't have to worry about. Hard to lock the truck with the fob from outside the truck if the key is still in the ignition.

For my lariat I bought the cable and I installed the software. Upon trying to access the body control module, I received the warning that I must get my hands on the extended license trial edition. Once I installed the extended license trial license, then I had access to the body control module setting. The video shows that you have to use a specific numbered entry in a data table. The software currently has each entry labeled in human readable words. I selected double honk on vehicle exit. I changed that to the disabled value. Wrote the data back to the vehicle. Restarted the car engine and tested to prove it works beautifully. Good solution. Thanks very much.
