its like watching something out of a movie. i have lived in tornado alley my entire life and at 62 have yet to see one. after watching these i think that might be a good thing.

Tornados are no joke that's for sure. Watching them on a video or tv doesn't do them any justice either until you witness one first hand. We had one come through our area back in MA in 2011 and seeing the destruction first hand is scary! Somehow I was blessed and it went right around my area but our whole downtown was wiped out and it left a path of destruction for over 23 miles.

One of my good friends had his house wiped out from it while they were there. Good thing we have basements there as that's the only reason they're alive today. They were all in the front area under where the front porch is and had a hard time getting out afterwards as all the debris was down there. That's one good thing about this area and why I chose it is we really don't have any natural disasters here. We've had a few micro bursts here and there but generally nothing but some hail in my area.

Grew up in Wichita and remember a few big ones. The Andover tornado in '91 was no joke either.
