AFE power / Affirm?

Was looking to buy an AFE air filter and I noticed they had a filter/intake combo for around $100.00. Thought what the hell, why not.

Went to check out and found the only way to pay is through some site called Affirm?. Wanted me to set up an account, and best I can tell is they want you to make payments? I just closed out of it.

I work with a chick thats proud to have $6.00 to her name a week after payday. But I can afford a $100.00 in parts. I have never heard of Affirm, and I think AFE is a big enough and well known outfit to not try and scam people.

Anybody ever buy from AFE direct?

I got mine through American Truck. Same price. My phone service is through Visible by Verizon and the phone purchase was with Affirm. The are a big on line finance company.

It's a scam don't do it, if they won't let you use regular payment methods they're harvesting information

I swear that credit card option wasn’t there the other day! ?
I tried to order around Christmas as well when they were have a sale and affirm was the only way to pay.
Never seen an online outfit only take this to pay.

I use Affirm all the time, it is a great way to pay if there are no other option available.

I can’t imagine a retailer only giving the option of effectively financing the purchase with a third party creditor. That’s sketchy to me. Also, seems like a good way to damage your credit.

It was stated by someone else that they got other payment options when they tried, so m7st have been a glitch on their website. That said, Affirm is a good payment plan and can help your credit, however if you mess up, like othe credit options, it can hurt your credit.

Sorry, I guess I misinterpreted your post to say you had used Affirm before because no other payment options were available.

Sorry, I guess I misinterpreted your post to say you had used Affirm before because no other payment options were available.

It was more or less a generic statement as sometimes people don't have other options to pay.
