Adding trailer brakes on utility trailer

I have a 7×14 utility trailer that I would like to ad brakes to. It already have the mounts on the axle, so what's all involved, and how much an I looking to spend?

I'd guess a trailer outfit with change you $500 or more to add them. That's assuming your fine truck is wired for trailers and has the brake unit already in it..

We have also a 6 x 14 and have no desire to have brakes added to it.
