My truck has a very slight, but noticeable delay from standing start to pushing on gas pedal (normal acceleration). Almost like a brake that releases after a split second. Is this a transmission fill problem or am I looking @ driveline or tune issues?

Is it happening on flat surfaces? If on a slight incline it could be 'Hill start assist', if that's even available on your model.

could be the auto start-stop engine feature which is supposed to save gas. I believe it creates extra wear on the engine and I deactivate it when I start the truck. I understand there is a way to permanently deactivate it which is available to purchase.

Yes. Flat and incline. I thought it could be the traction control as well, however still does it with traction control disengaged. It seems to be more noticeable once truck is warmed up.

I have a Livernois tune, so no auto start-stop.(Thank goodness--hated that thing)

I kind of had what you describe but it was only every now and then and only when from a cold start. I could mash the skinny pedal but it wouldn't leave idle for a second then rev to however far I was pushing.

I had all the symptoms of this TSB and it fixed the problem. you having a tune might not apply though... just a thought

on a side not try holding down the traction control button for 5 seconds until it flashes on the dash. that turns off everything drive related

In my research on the impact of auto s/s on the engine, I read that the extra wear is only true for a cold engine and since auto s/s is inactive until the engine is warm, that the starting and stopping will not only have no negative impact on the engine, it will reduce wear on an engine when driving in areas with frequent stops of 2 minutes or less (eventually auto s/s will start the engine again if the stop is too long, the battery voltage drops, or the air needs to engage the compressor). Because the time the engine spends off instead of idling is time of no wear and starting the warm engine after more than a brief stop will be less wear than if it had been idling the while time. The bottom line of my research into the matter was that it is not bad for your engine, can reduce wear on the engine, but saves negligible amounts of gas. So if someone hates it, I say turn it off. I like it on when I am in the city, but I am also not pretending that it will save me big bucks at the pump or save the world from climate change...
