Anyone else having issues with it just shutting off when it pleases?

Just drove 150 miles and had to keep turning it on because it would shut off by itself for some reason randomly.

Do you mean you're enabling the recirculation manually and it reverts back to outside (fresh) air automatically after some time? If that's the case, my F-150s did the same thing. It's normal due to the HVAC system wanting to prevent fogging amongst other things.

From the manual...

everyone wants foggy windows??

also, even though its not said, consider recirculated air and CO poisoning. no one wants that. some fresh air can be a lifesaver in that scenario.
Oh, get a grip. You know that's not what I meant. The same tech that has made automobiles safer and more reliable has also taken away some of the user control. Where I used to enjoy shifting through 3 gears on a manual trans, I now have a 10 speed automatic. And, if you are really concerned about expiring in a noxious cloud of gasses, pivot open the vent windows and open the floor vents.

I hardly have it on for more than 5 minutes when I do use it.
It's only ever on for me when MAX A/C is on or if I'm driving near some cow pasture or something in which case it's off within a few minutes too. I never leave it on recirculated for long.
