This is true. I know a few spots that used to be hard to find until someone "famous" who has half a million subscribers on YT posted the actual location and BOOM! Every time I go can't even find a parking spot on any given weekend. Now Google even has these spots named on their map because someone put it up there. I try hard not to be selfish but....it's gotten ridiculous. For example I remember North Lake wasn't even a thing and only Photographers knew of the spot. It's located on a tight, gravel trail hidden off the beaten path. Go there during peak season on a weekend and it's like Rush Hour in LA! That happened after this famous YT guy posted the exact location and the trail that leads to it.
Sounds familiar...oh wait

The Covid pandemic brought a lot of people up here, looking to "get away from the madness". The crowds in the most remote places haven't really let up since. :(
I remember that, We live in LA and peak covid sucked it was so tempting but the advice was don't pressure these small towns and overwhelm their hospitals etc. So we stayed put. the timing of starlink avilabilty and shift to remote work sure has changed a lot of places.
