The problem is the Santa Cruz isn't really a mid-size truck, it's in the same vein as a Maverick. It should ride better as it has a small SUV front-wheel drive based drive train and suspension. It's not made to face the same obstacles of a real truck, it's more like a small front wheel or AWD car or SUV with a tiny box on the back.

I'd personally go with a Honda Ridgeline over the Maverick or the Santa Cruz!

I know a few friends who have the Ridgeline and really like them. They don't care about going off road anymore and just need the bed to haul a few things every once in a while so it really suites their needs. They both have a larger SUV (wife's) as a second vehicle for their "family" travels and say they're very comfortable inside too. We had 2 brothers on here years ago @SubVet and @joeb427 who both sold their Rangers and leased a Ridgeline. I guess they both loved them because they never came back which is too bad because they were great members here. You only live once so you need to buy (and do) whatever makes you happy.

In all honestly, when I first read the opening post I asked myself: Why is op asking about a comparison to the 6g ranger on a 5g ranger site? I know I can't offer any insight into the 6g. Not sure if many here can. As I read on I got the feeling op might be trolling a little bit. Sorry to be so blunt, but that's what I felt as I followed this thread.
