It has a combined output to 655 hp and 0-60 in just 2.5 sec. It still uses the Corvette LT2 6.2-liter V8 and not a V6 and a set of standard Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes. Pretty impressive video and watch the drifting part at the 4:00 mark. It's only $105K, that's if you can find one without a $40K dealer markup.

It is a wicked car, and I very much appreciate the engineering but.. Electric/partial electric vehicles being fast really isn't impressive.

Just like all the bro's who herp derp over the fact their big diesel truck puts out 900ft lbs..

No shyt bud. That's what they do ?‍♀

Do all that with gas, and only gas, and I'd be impressed.

Well they already do this with gas. The Z06 is 670hp.

Bang for the buck is the Corvette for sure. Now with the electric one wow. I would like the ICE one if I won the lottery. Maybe get both!! :like:

Right on lol, im not too up on corvettes but I'm surprised GM didn't build this one to be a little more 'extra' than the ICE model.
That'll be the next version with a even higher price tag. lol

Technologically impressive if it works fine. Imagine having to be the calibration engineer that has to sync up 2 completely separate power trains.

Hard for me to get excited over $100k new cars though, don't have that kind of money to throw at a car and if I did, there's many other things you could spend 100k on.

Yeah $100K is a lot for a vehicle but there are many out there who don't think twice about dropping that much on one. The new F150 Platinum Lightning is very close to that at $92K. I know it's apples/oranges but I'd look at the Vette before the Lightning. That is if I had an extra $100K to throw away. ?

Haha, very coincidental timing Dave. The ol' parents are planning to upgrade from the stingray to this whenever we get more details on actual sale date/release. It'll be interesting to drive once at the least.

That's awesome Brandon, can't wait to hear how it drives. On second thought you could tell them you're taking to for a test drive and come pick me up.?

We will see if it even comes to fruition with the crazy pricing/markups/scarcity. They definitely won't be heading straight there to pay oodles of money to the dealership for no reason. But if they do, can't be that long to cannonball to you  :stop:
