2020 P025A & U0109 plus warnings

Hello,

2020 Ranger, 160,000kms

Recently multiple lights and warnings came up almost together (within days)

The concerning ones are the P025A & U0109 both fuel related
and next would be the warnings:

Powertrain Malfuntion / Reduced Power
Blind Spot Detection with Cross Traffic
Service Engine Soon Warning (Says to reset fuel shutoff switch but cant find it...intertia switch?)
Evap - Electrical Fault has occured with the vapor blocking valve

Before I drop it off at the dealer for diagnosis / repair, anyone have any experience like this?

I have no symptoms. Starts, drives no problem aside from the christmas tree of messages I get when I get in.

P025A - Fuel Pump Module A Control Circuit/Open

Description: When the PCM commands the fuel pump (FP) ON, the PCM is able to detect a short to voltage on the FPC circuit. When the PCM commands the FP OFF, the PCM is able to detect an open circuit or a short to ground on the FPC circuit. This DTC sets when the PCM detects the FPC circuit is open or shorted to voltage or ground.
Possible Causes:
  • FPC circuit open or short to ground
  • FPC circuit short to voltage
  • Damaged fuel pump control module
Diagnostic Aids: Check for any harness concerns.
Application
Key On Engine Off
Key On Engine Running
Continuous Memory
All
GO to Pinpoint Test KC .​


I would check the connector to the Fuel Pump Driver Module for corrosion or bad connections.
  1. NOTE: The fuel pump driver module is located on the rear of the frame crossmember above the spare tire.

Here is the electrical diagram for the fuel pump.

Disconnect and inspect for corrosion C408 - this ties into all issues you have, I suspect corroded or not fully seated.

ok so dont need to drop (or manipulate) the gas tank to check this.
