I just installed this today and it sounds.. terrible. The high and mid sounds are okay, but the low/bass does not have much to it, compared to the factory speakers. What did I do wrong or is there something else I should be doing?

Do the mounting brackets have anything to do with it?

Installed them this weekend. Pretty straight forward process getting the door panels off. I do have two small concerns/issues that I didn't have time to properly remedy this weekend:

2. I don't know how to wire the speakers without pinching the wires between the plastic bracket and the metal door. Long term I'm worried about vibration and may find a way to modify the plastic bracket so I can pass the wires through it instead of under it.

I found you can cut a slit in the little rubber gasket where the other set of wires go into so it fits behind.

every time I order I get amazing shipping and great customer service??
I don't know how Frank does it, but he had my order packaged up and a shipping label printed within 7 minutes of me placing my order. I can't wait to hear the difference, the stock speakers leave a lot to be desired.

Some speakers require a break in period. Give it some time.

It’s been decades since I did an audio installation. Any chance the speakers are wired out of phase?

It's been a decade for me also and that's is kind of what it sounds like. But you cant mess up the connections that are included with the package. One small negative and one bigger positive with a plug on the other end.

There are many accounts of speakers being wired incorrectly internally. It might be worth a test.

I had the same experience. Installed them in the spring and they have less bass than the factory speakers. Not a good match for the factory system.
