Hiya,

Looks like i pinged a hole in my rear diff last year or the year before and i havent been under it for a while and now im *very slowly* leaking oil from it. So ive scraped back the rust and revealed a near pin-prick hole, and im gonna repair it but i need to empty the oil.

my 24mm socket is too small and my 27mm is too big, is that rear diff oil drain plug 25mm or 26mm? (i cant find any reference to the size on youtube, ford manuals, google, Chat-GPT or my haynes).

anyone know? 2016 4wd Ranger (TKE) with the facelift on the 2011 2.2 mk3 chassis and engine. (FORD Ranger Mk3 (TKE) 2.2 TDCi 4x4 Diesel 160 hp / 118 kW 2015 - 2024 GBVAJQJ)

Many thanks!

bit of an update: the 25mm can be *made* to work, but now its out, and it's actually an imperial inch nut ... having now bought one of those it fits much more snugly than the 25mm !
