You must be thinking of Apple.
I personally hate their phones.
Apple thinks the more button and features they eliminate, the more cool and innovative they are. I guess guess Fox Con in China must have fences on the roofs of their factorys now, to stop all the suicides off the roof! Apple never says a word, just keep pumping out the overpriced crap they call IPhones!

I just used phones as an example, but that premise applies to just about everything coming out of China. We did a job for a guy that owns the company that sells those $3 screwdrivers and $5 pliers you see in bins at the front of some stores. He is a multi-millionaire. How? Those tools cost him about $0.25 each from China.

25 years ago "made in China' signified cheap and inferior products. You can't say the same today as most of electronic products from cell phones to computers are made in China. If it a well know brand name, it very well be a quality product. It's the knock offs you need to stay away from.
I agree with everything you said about China their products and the way they operate and seems to be getting better all the time. I still wouldn't buy anything ever made in China or associated with China I try and stay away from 80% of the stuff at Walmart. The problem is we are going to probably be at some level of War with China the next 2 to 3 years and everything you buy in China just makes them stronger and give them more money to develop things to defeat us. If it comes to a shooting War before forewarned !

Problem is, it's very difficult to move away from 'Made in China' when most things have some of its parts made there, especially anything electronic.
