Pretty cool resto 1st gen Ford Ranger into a police truck. It has a 4.0L V6 with 73K on it and is up for auction at Bring A Trailer with tons of pictures and a current bid right now of $3,500 with 2 days to go. This would be a great truck for you Mike @Fawnbuster.

This very interesting Ford Ranger is up for auction over at Bring a Trailer sporting a variety of modifications that make it look like it could very easily have once served as a law enforcement vehicle, though that was never the case. Rather, it’s more of a tribute with a black and white paint scheme coupled with a host of equipment including a roof-mounted light bar, police decals, a rear window strobe light, and chrome 17-inch wheels on the exterior.
Inside the cabin, that police theme continues with a Uniden scanner, a CB radio receiver, a PA system, a Whelen Dash King 2000 strobe light, and emergency light and siren controls, coupled with amenities such as gray vinyl seats, an Alpine CD stereo, air conditioning, auxiliary gauges, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. Power comes from the naturally-aspirated Ford 4.0L V6, which in this case has been treated to an aftermarket air-intake duct, a new manifold, and a dual exhaust system, with a a four-speed automatic transmission behind it.
