I was gonna say - in a world where people manage to get Diesel in their Petrol tanks I wouldn't beat yourself up too much!
It's so common here (but usually the other way around because diesel vehicles are really popular) that there are people who actually make a living out of "misfueling events". For a fee only mildly extortionate, they will flat bed your stricken vehicle from the servo to their premises, drain out the offending diesel petrol mix, flush your tank out and fill and re-prime your system with fresh diesel. It's expensive, but nowhere near as expensive as trying to run a common rail diesel on anything over about 5-10% petrol contamination.

Would also be good for reversing into dark and dodgy campsites at night. I remember on a trip long ago a mate reversed into a gully, creating an interesting after dark retrieval exercise.

And your avatar looks like the MAD magazine kid!

Don’t beat yourself up too much. I and @got3fords called them out for this very issue. They either don’t know enough about the different Ranger trim levels or are just being lazy.

I commented on two of their threads because they repeated the same misinformation. They need to edit their posts and their website to mention that those bulbs are for XL models only.

Instead they rely upon a bulb number cross reference and a really poor vehicle selection input form on their site. I would PM them directly and tell them you’d like a full refund and a pre-paid return shipping label. It was their engagement with forum members that created your mess. Another forum member got stung by this oversight as well.
I did the same thing and when I asked Auxito about it they said I should have read the manual.

Good news! All 6G Rangers have LED lighting, including headlights and taillights. Lariats get projector LED for headlights.
Bad news! If an LED goes out, you have to change the whole assembly, at about $2500 each!

That's how my Audi was. Headlight went out. $2250 for the light + $250 to program it so it would work.

Thanks. I need to remind myself that there are much stupider people out there...
I have personally known two different people that have done this. They literally got the funnel out of their trunk under the spare since the nozzle doesn’t typically fit in a gas vehicle.

This is progress vs $20.00 for a halogen bulb and 15 minutes of your time to replace it.
