I bought a Snugtop in Dec '19. I also purchased the HD roof with rails. My MPG is as good or better than without cap. I haven't put a rack on the rails yet. Have you noticed how much the rack affected your MPG?

How much was your Snugtop? I was considering one when I first purchased my truck, but went with Tonneau cover instead.

I was quoted $2k plus tax for the base version, installed. That came with paint matching, usb ports, small 12v light, and dropping front sliding window.

I spent an additional $1,200 on upgrades (remote locking door, sliding windoors on both sides, LED strip lighting, and Yakima roof rack).

Did you get the Sportsman package? I am looking to put a rooftop tent on top of my cap and they say I need the "Sportsman" package to support the weight.

No, I don't have plans to carry anything heavier than a canoe on the racks.

That said, I'd be concerned about the Sportsman package providing enough support for a RTT. I believe the package is rated to support 500 pounds. I imagine that once you add the rack, the tent, and two adults, you'd be awfully close to that limit—especially if you plan to get freaky in there.

I was just on the Ford accessories site and they have SnugTop as their topper they sell through the dealer. They show it in all colors and bed configurations.

Interesting, I can't quite tell which model that is, but seems like an older one (you can tell by it having two handles for opening the rear window). The Rebel (which is the model I got) has just one handle to open the rear window, and that handle is connected to the remote lock/unlock.

$2,800 seems awfully expensive for what you're getting through Ford. My cost was $3,200 installed plus tax, which got me the Rebel model, with sliding and opening windows in the front and sides, upgraded LED lighting inside, Yakima roof rack, and the remote lock/unlock main window.

I like your model better with the way the side windows open. These toppers are some of the best fitting in terms of the lines. I like how the radius is on the back of yours from the tailgate up to the top of the topper as well as the lines between the cab and the top.
What is the weight capacity on the rack/roof?

I'm pretty sure the capacity is 175 lbs., but I'm not 100% on that.

I have a 21 Ranger Lariat carbonized gray Fx4. Thinking about duplicating what you did with the Snugtop. Just curious… you have had this for over a year now, would you do anything different.?It looks great in the pics!

I’m planning on the exact same model, extras and all. Any regrets? How’s it holding up? Leaks?

Holding up fine for the most part, have had two issues:

The screws holding light bar in the ceiling stripped out somehow, so I'm planning to just epoxy it back up.

The shocks for the rear window blew out after about half a year. So you can't just pop the window open, or it will just absolutely launch open because it is spring loaded.

No leaks, still happy with it
