I'd probably go. I don't know what trail you're thinking about doing. The coolest trails I've ran are probably Red Cone, Tin cup pass and Mt. Antero. The gulches are good too.
I plan to go. Ill probably just drive down for the day then drive home. Its only like 2 hours away for me. I have three little motorola walkie talkie type radios. Are those GMRS?
Medano pass sounds like a good time. Especially with the rain we've been getting. I don't know about Blanca Peak. Its rated 8/10 on OnX and I know my Ranger needs a lot of bypasses to make it on a 7 lol.
I have 255/80r17 Cooper ST Maxx and they're awesome. I'd add those to your list. I've had the wildpeaks in the past and they're good too but the Coopers have tougher sidewalls and a more aggressive tread. I think Duratracs and the wildpeaks are pretty comparable. They both kick ass in the snow...
Has anyone gusseted the LCA mounts yet? Mine are getting a little scraped and bent and I'm thinking it might be a good idea to strengthen them up. I know they make kits to do it for Tacos but I haven't seen anything for our trucks.
Also the higher you are the more stress on the CVs. Something else to consider. I'd measure the Wheelwell gap on the ground and then jack it up and remeasure to see how much droop you have. Mine is pretty pathetic and I'll probably lower it to 2.5" lift whenever I get the stiffer springs.
Yes. My Fox 2.0s are overextended too and that noise you hear is them rubbing on the coil bucket or the springs binding. Lol. I emailed Fox and they said they're only supposed to go up 2.5" but that I could try a heavier spring. I haven't gotten around to getting the heavier spring yet. Bottom...
If you do long travel such as the bajakits one with new fenders you can run 35s up front. Then for the rear just use blocks or ome springs. Neither one is great compared to a longer leafpack which from what I understand can't be installed. That'll get you on 35s. After that you just need good...
