My CVs click like this too but only at full lock. It usually happens when going around a switchback. I have a 3" lift and Icon UCAs. I've considered a diff drop.
I just did a little experiment and if you jack it up from the center of the slider it doesnt flex hardly at all but the closer you get to the ends it starts to flex more.
Can anyone explain the contact that occurs between the LCA and spindle? I'm assuming it occurs to limit uptravel like a bumpstop? Also I'm aware the ball joint on my LCA is leaking.
I have lifted my truck by the slider with my hi lift and they do flex and come extremely close to touching the body. Im talking like millimeters. I also have the step plate which supposedly stiffens them up.
On mine the DOM part you can use as a step is all scratched up with surface scratches from the dirt on the bottom of shoes and then the bottom of the square section is covered in deep scratches that have been spray painted. Better than having doors that won't open or close properly.
I ran metberry and longwater gulch today. If you haven't ran longwater before it had a super sketchy rock you go down but they're both real cool. Hackett gulch is next on my list. I didn't want to run it alone.
So are we running something on Saturday 8/1? If so I'm in. I've ran Tincup pass. Its cool. Mosquito pass sounds cool too. I want to do Taylor pass but I'm pretty sure its too gnarly for a stockish rig. I've never done it. Hagerman is almost just a road isn't it? Ive been up there pushing almost...
How much does that OME leaf pack lift the rear? I've been waiting for a Deaver race pack to come out because i suspect the ride quality and articulation will really improve. Right now I only run a 1.5" block in the rear.
Ahh okay. I've taken my Ranger down that section as well. The other side is a lot more extreme. If you cross the road by the reservoir onto bull park that's pretty good too but a lot more rocky.
