  1. Maximizing Battery Life

State of charge and resistance would be a little to technical for your average car buyer.. which is why they began simply making “idiot lights”
  2. Extended rear brake lines

Are you talking hard lines? Or rubber lines to go the rear axle for a lift?
  3. Anyone Have a Short List of Ranger-Specific Ratchet, Socket, Crescent Sizes?

In my experience doing roadside and off-road side repairs your always gonna forget something unless you have a service truck with you.
  4. Check your air box…

That would explain it, seems that no vehicles are safe then. I remember reading a story about Mercedes-Benz using biodegradable wiring insulation and the insulation on some vehicles wouldn’t even make it more than a few years before starting to deteriorate and cause short circuiting all over the...
  5. Check your air box…

Ive seen plenty of machines/vehicles of any make/mode that sit around for years outside have rodent nesting issues. I know of 2 people that have had their (newer) F-350s chewed up(one or both I can’t recall were injector wires). Idk if it’s a Ford problem or what the wires are made of.
  6. Check your air box…

I live in a wooded suburban area. We have tons of wildlife here with hills/mountains, woods, a river, a lake, even a soccer field all in my neighborhood. I wouldn’t call it rodent problems but pretty much anything that comes out of the woods passes through our neighborhood to get to the river.
  7. Maximizing Battery Life

I don’t use it much but my FordPass app still works with BMS deactivated. Lock, unlock, remote start, vehicle alerts, GPS vehicle location, oil life and TPMS readings all work and stay up to date. im not sure if it’s any different with the BMS unplugged vs deactivated. Perhaps the truck will...
  8. Check your air box…

3-4 months ago I saw someone started to eat my battery blanket with poop all over but thankfully nothing else was touched. I sprayed my entire engine compartment down with Tomcat(mix of peppermint oils and such) every few days for a couple weeks, and haven’t seen anything since. They could do...

    Guilty ?‍♂️
  10. Carlisle - Truck Nationals - Ranger 40th Anniversary

Definitely saving that on my calendar I’m about 3 hours away also. I went to the giant swap meet at Carlisle years ago when I had my 68 fastback.
  11. No Love for Ranger brand on www.merchandise.ford.com

A little bit before my time but I asked my dad about them and he can’t recall any of them either. A hot-rodder like yourself he probably wouldn’t have paid much mind to them even if he did see them.
  12. No Love for Ranger brand on www.merchandise.ford.com

https://www.hagerty.com/media/automotive-history/spreading-the-luv-a-brief-history-of-detroits-mini-trucks/ good read on the how it all started
  13. No Love for Ranger brand on www.merchandise.ford.com

I think they jumped on the 70s-80s Japanese compact truck bandwagon as other automakers did so they could stay competitive in that market. They sold so they kept making them, never meant to be a flagship model.
  14. No Love for Ranger brand on www.merchandise.ford.com

I have the navy blue sweatshirt with the scab
  15. No Love for Ranger brand on www.merchandise.ford.com

    Shipping is a killer though
  16. Had a lot of rain this morning

Ranger5g will do that to you
  17. Maximizing Battery Life

I deactivated the BMS via Forscan as I mentioned earlier in this thread. I get constant high 14v while running( around 14.7 +/- .2v).
  18. Front end creaking when turning full left.

To get a better idea of where it’s coming from have someone else or yourself stand outside the truck while turning left. Hard to say with just a sound clip from inside the cab. Could be a lot of stuff like Canadian Ranger said.
  19. Front end creaking when turning full left.

While driving or even while stopped?
