I just got the Ford Performance Tune....I felt the EXACT same way as you.
My truck has been repaired under warranty 4 times for 3 different issues (I'm just under 60k miles but had my first issue the day after I bought it) - which Ford extended for me due to my first hassle with the warranty...
I really think the diff was locked...and whatever was going on, nothing was lit on the dash. I didn't feel it in the front tires and I was driving slowly around a paved lot....I didn't feel the fronts engaged.
I bumped the knob into 4h....but only for a second or two until I realized it. Got out of 4h....(i was driving slow) and now the differential is locked!
I've tried shifting through 4wd high and low....pressing and undressing the diff lock button....nothing is working and it's stuck like Chuck...
Got my truck back with the tune installed. I haven't driven it much (about 30 minutes), but shifting is definitely improved and it has the perfect amount of extra ass when you stomp it!! It didn't instantly transform into a race car, but it's definitely a nice, smooth extra kick.
My FPT gets installed on Monday!!
I bought the FPT a week or so ago from Levittown Ford.....I called my local dealer who said they couldn't install it, even though another SA had told me before they could/would. I didn't feel like arguing with the young lady on the phone, so I scheduled with...
I'm in a relatively flat rural-ish area in Maryland. Day to day, I'm getting 23-24 mpg. On trips, I've seen 30+mpg on highway stretches. I think I got about 27 mpg the last time I took a road trip (6 hours). I run 93 exclusively. No tune yet, but gonna pull the trigger on the FPT soon...
I'm on about 56K (rotated regularly) with mine and have plenty of tread left. The Hankooks don't seem to be very popular on here, but they've been perfectly fine for me.
I'll reassess them again before next winter, but I'd be shocked if I don't get 70K out of them.
Mine has been driven on...
I'm in the same boat....I have about 54K on my Hankook's. They still have some life left (if I had to guess, I think I can get to 70K), but I've done some research here and there. I might go a touch bigger....I don't love the look of the stock size.
I have a 2022 Lariat SCREW. Just hit 50K miles at almost exactly 2 years.
I work from home mostly but still average about 25K a year due to single moms, OBX trips and softball tournaments!
I had a PITA electrical issue when I first bought it (new) which was a nightmare and took...
Well, the truck is at the dealer now.....I typed a detailed note for the trans tech and left it in the truck.
They drove it around for a bit (tracked through app) and it appears to be located back inside their shop now....so they've working on something. It will be interesting to hear what they...
To their credit, they've been easy to deal with both times so far. I took it in, they checked it out, found issues and followed the TSB procedures. No pushback at all.
I'm just afraid of eventually getting the "we can't duplicate the issue" speech. But it is what it is, I'll deal with that...
Well, it appears my debacle is not over.
After the last repair (CDX), I've now driven it about 10k miles. Overall, it's definitely better and most of the issues have gone away, however, it's still not right. I was rolling in stop and go traffic the other day on 95 and felt/heard an awkward...
I need to get my truck serviced and have the transmission looked at (again). I called last week and they said they weren't scheduling....they'll call me when up and running. I'll call again tomorrow, but so far, I haven't heard anything back. That was a local Ford dealer.
Also, I just bought a...
