I will say I know I am a bit of a naysayer when it comes to "improving" interiors. I just saw the new GMC Sierra's interior in the Denali Ultimate trim and it is very aesthetically pleasing, albeit I don't know how the open pore wood and leather would hold up to mud, oil, and general dirtiness...
Did I say $6k? I meant $8k.
He said he got $8k off that new Titan. See: https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/goodbye-ranger-hello-2022-frontier.15641/post-334790
I don't disagree entirely but I will point out two things.
First, the Ranger does improve interior quality as price goes up, the hard plastic dash on my STX is soft touch stitched on a Lariat. Other changes exist, too.
Second, the lower trims are less profitable for Ford, so yes you're paying...
That's wrong and assumes that cars and trucks cost the same to develop and make.
Here's the reality - when you buy a truck the extra money goes into building a certifying a vehicle that can tow 7,500 lbs and handle rough environments. There's cost in the basic structural differences of a...
I-Beam can articulate more than regular IFS, but it won't do as well rock crawling as a solid front axle. The benefit of the solid axle is that as one wheel enters a hole or goes over an obstacle, the other is forced in the opposite direction causing more flex.
Trucks are not the most logical application of EV technology. Inherently heavy with poor aero means that the usefulness is seriously limited.
These are mostly toys for the rich.
Please show me both? I actually under-estimated interest - lowest Ford is offering in Georgia is 3.9 @ 72. I would also doubt your CU is offering 0.9% for 72 but I'd be glad to check that too if you share the details.
72 months? I'd faint agreeing to that long of a loan. I just did the math with a 48.5k 72 mo loan you're paying about 5,000 in interest alone (Ford and other lenders interest goes higher than the 1.9% for 60 at 72 mo. or more) I checked and it was 3% for 72 mo.
I borrowed about 27k on my truck...
Not to be rude, but I noticed you bought a Ranger. Did you know that spec for spec an F150 was almost 10k more when I bought my Ranger in October of 21'?
The same is true today. You aren't getting a 2021/22 F150 Crewcab 4x4 for less than 45k. Your XLT stickers for over 48k today with a current...
Here's the real counterpoint: Can midsizers ever actually be smaller full-sized trucks? I don't think so.
I don't think there's enough cost savings in downsizing everything ~10% for a midsized truck to still manage the lesser transaction prices on midsized trucks while offering equal content to...
Mr. Geese is quick to denigrate the Ranger and complain about its price, but he owns a LC 500 (starts at 94k) and he waxes poetic about his overpriced Lexus GS coupe.
Dollar for dollar you're getting way more with a Ranger than the GM Twins or Tacoma. Do you give up a little bit of interior...
1) No, actually no Ranger has a "auto locker" it is manually engaged with a button.
2) For non-FX4 models, 2wd or 4wd the rear locker is an option. I think it was $420.
