disconnecting the battery didn't work either.... my truck is still lost
I guess I'll have to take it to the dealer...... nice group but it takes 1/2 of a day (minimum) to get anything done even when it's scheduled.
yes the Ford Performance power pack tune ..... thanks that helps. I had a hell of a time getting it installed and didn't want to go through that again
I'll try disconnecting the battery and report back
Three days ago while attempting to use my factory nav system, 2019 Lariat, the map screen froze and will not change. My truck thinks it's about an hour from my home and will not change. Through the Nav screens even when I hit vehicle location it shows the truck is an hour away. I've turned it on...
It is amazing how poor my 2019 Lariat rides,
I’ve owned Chevy, GMC, and 3 F150’s and this is by far the bounciest ride yet. Being mid size should not equate to poor ride. I love the size and how nimble it is but when friends and family ride with me I almost feel like apologizing for the poor...
quangdog - based on my research I’m leaning to the Eibach for the front versus the leveling spacer I have installed now, looking for a improved ride.
I have replaced the rear with the Fox 2.0 and it helped but still washy.
Do you know Which Eibach model number you got for the front? Adjustable...
Yesterday FPP determined my tune download was corrupt and had to be corrected, in the end it was corrected and I was able to flash my truck and you are correct there is no doubt the performance tune is there.... made an immediate and significant improvement!
The FPP folks worked with me...
I emailed and even was on the phone with a FPP tech multiple times today and still not installed. I reinstalled from the device waited for 95 updates and it still shows the stock tune, I did this twice. The tech had me log in and download the software to my computer, since I had already paid the...
I've driven it about 25 miles, some interstate and some in town and I can't be clear of a difference, I say that because I want to think something's there but not sure there is any difference. I was running 93 since I purchased the truck so I did miss the possible octane boost. Honestly for over...
I'll just contact FPP in the morning, it's not that I don't believe my dealer, rather it's he had so many issues and this being his first tune plus my not being sure it performs better I would like to verify
thanks for the help
okay when I hit programing it shows -
>performance cals
>return to stock
<back
I hit performance cal and it changes screens to a screen that says Choose File and it shows performance cal
is this to program it?
how do I know if it's already been done? of do I just run it over? if so how long...
New question - how can I verify a new tune has been installed? My local dealer had a bad time with it but said he got it uploaded but I can’t tell much if any difference.
I installed one on a Saturn Sky in the past and it was obvious ...... this one not so much
Update - the tune install was completed, the tech has it written up as a 5 hour install due to the issues. I paid the quoted price at pick up and the dealer is going to reach out to FPP for assistance. In the end it appears FPP was having “server” issues and the tune would not validate.
We had...
my dealer is still working with FPP to get the verification to work....tried 3 times so far. My concern now is who's going to pay for the tech to be tied up most of the day....should not be this difficult
I have a Lariat so no key, the dealer tech just called me again, the Ford Performance folks resent the software and it appears that again will not download so the FP folks are getting with their engineers
just as I feared, the dealer is stuck saying he's getting an error message so I reached out to Ford Performance Parts on their chat and messaged them asking to call the tech at my local dealer.
hopefully I'll get my truck back today
