  1. Leveling Kit Requires Recalibration?

When I leveled my truck I had the front end aligned and I dialed the headlights down a touch, just to be safe. Adaptive cruise and all that works fine as-is here.
  2. Turn off adaptive transmission process!

Meanwhile, millions of people in other countries are driving trucks that get 2 MPGs and are burn 6 quarts of oil per day, on a good day.
  3. Turn off adaptive transmission process!

Agreed, the new washer and dryer set we got was expensive and they will never last as long as the previous ones. Not a chance. It is frustrating to say the least. "Thanks government", haha.
  4. "The perfect stance" confusion

For me, "the perfect stance" is dictated by how I use my truck. Sitting stock, I was bashing the front bumper into the ground on my property and based on that I opted for a leveling kit with slightly larger MT tires (my truck definitely gets used on a regular basis and if I don't NEED a truck, I...
  5. Turn off adaptive transmission process!

While I'd love to hammer on Ford, after working through some of the transmission issues mentioned across this forum, at the end of day I'm more inclined to blame the regulators who push 'standards' on automakers. The common denominator for most of the issues I've had with vehicles (various...
  6. Anyvody here driven a Maverick and Ranger back to back?

My old Jeep Cherokee Sports laughed out loud when I read this. If you saw half the places I went with those vehicles...
  7. More pep without tune?

    Push the skinny pedal harder.
  8. Turn off adaptive transmission process!

Found this video: Disabling Transmission Adaptive 2015 F150 - YouTube
  9. List of 10R80 transmission threads...so far...

First dealer I took my truck to tried to pin my issues on the valve body (without bothering to open the transmission and diagnose the problem, as I later learned). The second dealer actually took a look and found way more, which I shared in another post. Truck has been fine recently, after...
  10. Guinea Pig for the Rough Country M1 shocks

Because one option is $330 and the other $160?
  11. What's the upgrade path?

Avoiding large obstacles has always been my approach. If doing so isn't possible, that is the first sign that I'm about to wreck my vehicle. I don't mind if I bang the bottom of the truck on stuff, as long as it isn't anything too crazy. FX4 XLT with a leveling kit and slightly larger tires here...
  12. New ranger! Factory defect?

Sand it even, tape it off, and spray that lip black. 10-15 minutes total and it will look/be fine. I painted that lip on mine when I bought it, just for the hell of it, and it still looks good years later. I have NEVER looked at my truck as close as some here, but I don't recall seeing anything...
  13. Show yours, if you have this issue

I can think of a million better things to do, haha.
  14. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

Swapped out fluid in the rear diff, a 10 minute job. Old fluid didn’t look terrible after just shy of 60k miles, a little dirty with the usual crud on the drain plug magnet.
  15. First aid supplies

Yes, all great things to include and can't hurt to have extra items on hand in a situation. On the knowledge front, evaluating a casualty and treating for shock would be the two topics on my short list. I've rolled up on some bad ones during my long highway commutes, to include...
  16. First aid supplies

Gloves, Israeli bandages (direct pressure) and tourniquets (uncontrolled bleeding) should be enough to handle most situations until EMS arrive.
  17. Ebay tonneau cover

Same one I've had on my truck since April 2019, I use it (roll it up) all the time and no problems so far.
  18. Open diff vs. rear e locker - did I make a mistake?

While nice to have, a rear lock is far from required for off-roading. I've wheeled plenty of vehicles without lockers and they were fine.
  19. Accidentally Got 87 vs. 93

I wouldn't worry about it too much, just keep it in mind if you get the urge to drive the truck hard.
