  1. Driver door armrest solutions? General comfort for tall leggy types?

You're not the only one and I struggle with similar issues. The window still is also far too high for comfortable long-range driving position. My 97 ranger window sill was perfect for that...
  2. Tire Pressure Menu

i've been confused by that as well. I keep looking for it in truck info before remembering it's not there...
  3. I hit a high curb and have a tire replacement question

Dang, that's a lot of damage. Serious question: how can a curb cause that, ie what occurred? There usually aren't any sharp edges; Was this just unusually sharp or a corner? In the past if I hit a curb, my vehicle is just slightly shifted as the wheel slips off, so trying to understand how to...
  4. Are TPMS Sensors "Location" Dependent

Thanks, great link. So, how to we know if the ranger has Automatic Relearn? Because some ppl say it does, doesn't that mean all rangers do?
  5. Are TPMS Sensors "Location" Dependent

Watching the thread...very curious what the "actual" answer will be :)
  6. Other uses for overhead sunglass holder

I had a link in my post :) Check that out...
  7. Other uses for overhead sunglass holder

I use it for this (control switches):
  8. How Do You Remove The Drivers Door Sill Plate?

Any glue for sure won't fix it given those forces. But usually the plates stay on well even with a clip broken/missing.
  9. Blown transmission 2019…

Yes to older vehicles being simpler/easier to maintain...but the updated safety is why I switched to 5g. I wouldn't switch back to something less safe, even if newer vehicles are far less convenient
  10. Blown transmission 2019…

Interesting. So just to check, even though there was a TSB, that didn't actually influence anything? If so, that's unexpected.
  11. Blown transmission 2019…

Wait...how is it winding down? 5g will be on the road for a long time...hopefully :)
  12. Map update coming approx 8/14/2023

I updated my nav map last year, and it directed me to an obsolete store address that was 3 years outdated -- the lot was actually just a flat unused field now. I found the new location via Google maps, and asked the store when they moved. It was 3 years ago! So my map update from last year...
  13. Fuel in oil

Thanks. Dead cold is still challenging for me; oil is smeared over a pretty wide area...
  14. Fuel in oil

What IS the good way to check it? The oil is incredibly tricky to check on this vehicle -- every other vehicle i've checked oil on, has been simple. There seems to be a large margin of error on the 5g ranger, given how poor the checking can be (despite best efforts).
  15. General Unibody Hate?

Is that the case on the Ranger? I thought the manual said otherwise, so just trying to learn more...
  16. Wiring Diagram needed

100% agree. I was going to comment the same thing
  17. Collision avoidance saved my arse today !!

I know :) What I wrote -- that you quoted -- is this: "XLT also has it, at least with tech package. I've never had the alert, but can go to the menu and see where the driver alertness currently sits. Presumably it'll flash on the screen when needed..." I'm not sure what you're responding to :P
  18. Collision avoidance saved my arse today !!

I was referring to Driver Alertness: "I've never had the alert, but can go to the menu and see where the driver alertness currently sits. Presumably it'll flash on the screen when needed..."
  19. Collision avoidance saved my arse today !!

XLT also has it, at least with tech package. I've never had the alert, but can go to the menu and see where the driver alertness currently sits. Presumably it'll flash on the screen when needed...
  20. New tires installed affecting lane keeping assist

FYI, I agree with others that it should be minimal to zero impact: I did not notice any change in lane keeping assist when doing the same 0.5" tire size increase from stock. It still works well for me. So, also agreed there may be something else wrong.
