1) Has anyone regretted having the TSB done, if it wasn't mandatory for you due to tranny failure?
2) Just to understand what folks consider "harsh" shifting: during a hard acceleration, I sometimes have what seems like a hesitation/stutter and then large jarring jolt as the tranny shifts, where...
Ever since installing mine, for some reason the right-side mirror stays closed 1/3 of the time instead of automatically opening on startup (stays closed more often during rain or cold, I think) -- the wiring is for sure correct, because If I cycle the manual open/close button, the mirror opens...
Well, I guess I have a different experience (as i've posted here).
My stock 2wd got 19 mpg on a level no-wind highways, no matter how I drive (I get great mileage on all other vehicles, so know how to drive efficiently).
My 2021 has never gotten better than 20 mpg, and as low as 15 mpg.
So, in...
Has anyone ever gotten the "No GPS" symbol in Sync3? If so, do you know what causes it?
It stayed on until I got to my destination (20 minutes), and then didn't appear when I turned the vehicle on the next time. I was driving under open sky.
Thanks for the thoughts all. It sounds like the OEM aren't meant to be refilled (unfortunately).
Though I've refilled the Bosch Icon (my previous ranger) without issue by removing the end clip, but thought perhaps OEM had an approved refill.
Does anyone know why manufacturers are moving away...
Where do you all get OEM wiper inserts to replace your worn ones, ie just the silicon insert part?
This is an example of the OEM wiper+insert, but i'm only looking to replace the insert.
Does any silicon insert of the right length work, or only motorcraft ones?
My dealer also charged 99 for programming.
It's a lot; but I think it was worth it -- never a risk of getting locked out.
I keep the keypad in inside the fuel door, like I read somewhere on this forum.
I'm so glad I posted this question ?:p
But yeah, to those who suggested a thermometer, I had also gotten one a few weeks back, but it seemed hard to believe that there would truly be no indoor temp we can see.
Wow, I'm surprised; thanks for sharing. Surprised because that means the fuel tank is effectively even smaller than the already-small 18 gallon tank (if we can never use the last 50 miles)
Been confused about this for a while. There are a total of 4 temperatures listed on sync 3 and the dash, but I think none of those are the actual internal cabin temperature.
Dash: climate setpoint
Sync3: 2x climate setpoint (driver/passenger), 1x outside air temp
Am I missing it, or there is...
Well, the snipped you responded to was a bit selective and out of context...you could have quoted the rest of my post :p where I mention "of course, this would assume that I could even get back to "normal" mpg with many smaller contributing changes."
Ie it's obviously clear that a single mod...
320 miles: 18 mpg (what I get on HW)
450 miles: 25 mpg (what many ppl get on HW)
just pointing out the difference in fillup interval on a highway is a factor, not just "do I break even" or not.
the more mpg, the more convenient overall. of course, this would assume that I could even get back to...
Thanks. The one thing an mpg would accomplish, is miles between fillups. Instead of every 320 miles, it could be 450 miles.
But yeah, this thread is also useful to hear peoples' experiences with them.
How long has it been when you say "forever"? Ie when was the FW updated?
I'm imagining they updated sync only, since i've not heard of any other updates to the vehicle, but would be curious if they did anything else. Maybe your service invoice shows that?
